Happy Birthday Gerry! February 21, 2008

Today is Gerry’s birthday, and Jack decided to celebrate by waking up at 5 am and crying until 6:15! I gave him a bottle hoping he’d go back to sleep so Gerry could sleep in on his birthday, but no luck. He took 12 ounces! Normally he takes 6! We even tried a bath, but he cried. Around 6:15 he stopped and was fine after that. Little stinker!

Gerry got the entire James Bond collection on DVD and three nice shirts. Jack has excellent taste and did a good job picking them out We’re celebrating our birthdays on Saturday thanks to babysitter Sabine!

Welcome Riley Jaylin Greenfield! February 15, 2008

I am an Auntie again! Riley is here! She was born yesterday – Valentine’s Day – at 8 am on the dot. She weighs 6 pounds and is 19 inches long. Everyone is doing great, and Paige and Hailey love little Riley!

I know what you’re all wondering, and the answer is YES! She has red fuzzy hair What did you expect?! I wish were were closer and that I could go see her. Oh well. I’ll go in April when things slow down at work. March is our busiest month with the Seatrade Cruise Shipping Convention.

Jack’s New Toys February 7, 2008

For his birthday, Jack got a wagon (thank you, Tom) and a rocking horse (thank you Schwedt, Schwedt and Lefkowitz families). He loves them both! We used to take him for walks in his stroller, but he loves riding in the wagon. Good thing it has straps to keep him in! And he has so much fun sitting on his horse and rocking without holding on. He hasn’t quite gotten that concept down yet!

It’s a GIRL! February 5, 2008

After 8 grandsons, Al and Norma finally have a great-granddaughter!! And yes, I am a great-aunt and Gerry is a great-uncle! Gerry’s nephew Ben and his wife, Esther, had a little girl this morning: Olivia. Congrats! Now the Ellis’ can finally buy pink stuff!
